The Farm
Lucky Field Organics was started in 2003 by Eileen and Weston Lant. With one acre of land filled with vegetables, the Lants found a great amount of interest in fresh organic vegetables on the South Coast of Massachusetts and ran two successful seasons at a local Farmer’s Market. In summer 2005 a six person CSA share program was started, and the Farmer’s Market continued successfully. Since then, the Lucky Field Organics gardens have grown from that 1-acre field into 14 acres of cultivated fields and over 12,000 feet of greenhouse space.

Located in Rochester, Massachusetts on 47 acres of farmland and forest, Lucky Field Organics grows a wide array of fresh vegetables and flowers using tried and true ideas from the past as well as the latest research into natural systems, plant vigor, and organic production techniques.

Since 2006 Lucky Field Organics has been working together with How On Earth LLC; an organization created to help grow and support sustainable agriculture in the South Coast region of Massachusetts. Together How On Earth and Lucky Field Organics are working to increase the amount of fresh local organic produce available to the South Coast region, and the coverage is growing rapidly.

Lucky Field Organics offers Main Season, Flower, and Fall / Winter CSA programs at many locations on the south coast, Cape Cod, and the islands of Cuttyhunk and Nantucket. We attend many Farmers Markets on the South Coast and Cape Cod and provide fresh organic produce to fine restaurants and stores as well.

We enjoy growing organic vegetables on our farm and believe in the importance of having a healthy sustainable farming community right here where we all live. We hope that you will join us in supporting all of the many excellent local farms working to provide fresh healthy food to all of us. Think global, eat local.
